We visit the Apple store!

I expected to find a room full of fresh fruit, not that I can chew any of it yet, but instead it was filled with computers, software and assorted gadgets. My Dad was in heaven! They had some business to do, and set me down near a rack of software. Oh man that stuff looks COOL! I can't wait until I can control my hands enough to operate a mouse ...

Went to the Wild Animal Park

Hey guys. Things are looking up ... actually I'm always looking up, come to think of it ...

Mom and dad took me to the Wild Animal Park today. http://tinyurl.com/2yboq8 It was a neat place filled with lots of animals. Again I pretended to be asleep and just played it cool. When mom and dad weren't looking I'd crack open my eyes and take a peep at the animals. A little bit later, I started to get hungry and dad fed me near "The Heart of Africa" walking path.

It was a good day. I'm really glad that mom and dad had the time to take me out to my first zoo / animal park!

Personal Issues and Aunt Dorothy

That was not fun! (See the last post) I've been so "uncomfortable" in the last few days, I haven't been able to bring myself to post to this blog. Apparently being only 2 weeks old, I had some misconceptions about certain things and how they do things around here! First of all I've been told that I misspelled Sir Come Sishun. It's only one word and not three. Secondly I was astonished at how "personal" this doctor I met the other day was with me. I mean sheesh, I just met the guy! I mean checking my diapers and taking my temperature is one thing but ... oh I just don't want to relive it, let's move on ...

On a happier note, one of my mom's best friends, Aunt Dorothy came and visited. She's a nice lady (not like the previously mentioned doctor). She held me and wanted to see my eyes open, but I just played it cool. You know, keep 'em coming back for more. Here she is with a new stuffed bear that she brought me. I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I can control my hands and fingers.

Dad's work, and another food place

We went out today to a couple new places. Mom and dad brought me to dad's work to show me off. There were lots and lots of people who kept coming up to me in my seat basket to check me out. I pretended that I was asleep and held off the "open eyes thing" only once in awhile to really give 'em a thrill. Boy let me tell you, it doesn't take much! Just crack open the peepers even just a bit and people start squealing. It's a gift.

I think dad had something else to do while other people were getting their looks at me. I guess he figured that he might as well get a few things done while my admirers were checkin' me out. It was nice of mom and dad to schedule my viewing to allow some new people a chance to meet me.

Afterward we went to Baja Fresh, another favorite eating spot for mom and dad. They put my seat basket on the floor near their table while they had "solid food". They have very big, tall tables at Baja Fresh! I snapped this photo while they were looking down admiring me. I think they thought I was asleep at the time. ...

Tomorrow we're going on another trip. Mom and dad have been talking about something they whisper called Sir Come Sishun. Sounds like fun! Maybe some more new people will get to meet me!

I love the outdoors!

Just got back from another trip "outside". I've decided that I like this outside thing. It's big! There's a lot more to see out there (when I'm not asleep) compared to "inside". I'm 12 today, 12 days old and I've see so much of the world (I think). Let's see I've been to In N Out Burgers, Target, REI, Rubio's, Performance Bicycle, and my personal favorite; Babies R Us.

Here's a photo from one of mom and dad's favorite stores: REI. We went here today to check out baby carriers and "trail" strollers. REI rocks!

The stroller shade thingy kept me from direct sunlight, but it was great to feel the breeze, hear birds and other outdoors sounds and even smell an In N Out Burger. I can't wait until I get some teeth ...

I'm Heading Home!!!

Woohoo what a day! I woke after my morning feeding / nap to find the hospital room a buzz with lots of people stirring about! Some new faces and some I've seen for the last few days and of course mom and dad are right there making sure everything is done just right!

Dad signs a bunch of paper and the nurses keep giving mom more stuff. At one point one nurse hands mom, what looks like, a truck load of diapers and formula and says it should last for 2 days. I must be a talented eater!

Later on dad carries me to the car and mom buckles me in for the ride home! It's a nice ride and dad plays some nice classical guitar, then some Christian heavy metal on the car stereo. Dad rocks! I slept most of the way home and was glad to finally be carried through the door of our home!

... I'm not so sure about that Jake fella though ...

Moving Soon!

I've been sleeping in an incubator / Isolet for the last few days. Actually those last few days have been the only days that I've been around so ... basically I've been sleeping in this thing all my life. Weird huh? Anyhow today mom and dad come by to hug and feed me like clockwork. Here's a photo of dad wearing his PodCacher shirt smilin' down at me as I lay in my Isolet. There's whispered rumor among the nurses around here that I'm to be transferred to an open crib soon. A graduation of sorts! What else is going on? Dad gave me my sponge bath last night and mom fed and burped me like a champ! I've also got this ... "thing" still stuck on my belly button, looks like a piece of beef jerky, kinda bugs me. Not sure what that's all about ...

From what I understand, I'll soon be moving out of here to go "home" soon! Yay! Hey, I just realized I haven't been outside yet. In fact I've never seen the sun, the sky, or felt the wind, or heard birds sing ... yet!
